In 2009, 25% of 6th grade students did not meet or exceed the standards for math. (1)

In 2009, 30% of 8th grade students did not meet or exceed the standards for math. (1)

In 2006-2007, 4.3%, 4.9% and 5.8% of white, black and Hispanic students dropped out of high school respectively. (2)

In 2007, 54.9 out of every 1,000 teenagers between the ages of 15-19 gave birth.  (4)
